Some Velvet may sound like sort of a random name for a store. In case you were wondering where it came from, here ya go. Some Velvet Morning is a trippy, and eerie song by Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra (one of my own personal style icons). This song has been covered numerous times by the likes of Vanilla Fudge, Lydia Lunch, Slowdive, and my most favorite cover by Primal Scream featuring KATE MOSS (my other style icon). So like, duh of course this is the perfect name for this store. Not to mention, Velvet might be the most magical fabric out there.
